The focus of the feast is the procession of the Statue of the saint on the sea, sided by exciting water races. As the patron saint of the village , St. Francis of Paola is celebrated in the afternoon with a suggestive maritime procession, with hundreds of boats following the statue and then continuing in a walk through the streets of Marzamemi. In the days preceding the feast, the “Palio of boats” and “Sea Games” events will take place.
