The final moment of the agricultural calendar, the harvest has a special importance for Sicilian culture. If you want to have this authentic experience, make sure you arrive when the fruits are ripe.
- September – grape harvest, bottling of the wine and production of the traditional must.
- October/November – olive harvest and oil production.

Giusy and Roberto are 2 very lovable and spirited people. Very interesting and very helpful, it was a real pleasure to be their guests. They hosted us for 2 nights in their beautiful country house amidst the extraordinary and wonderfully rugged nature of southern Sicily.
We learned to make tortellini with Nonna Pinnucia – she made it look easy- and Ricotta with Giusi. Great fun and can’t wait to make them when we get back. Let’s hope they taste as good as yours.
